At Penn GSE, we believe that global engagement is essential to our success. We believe that we have a lot to learn and a lot to offer in partnerships with educators, policymakers, and thought leaders in other countries. This drives our commitment to advancing education across the world.

As a university, Penn works to nurture networks abroad and to encourage more innovative, cross-disciplinary solutions to global problems. GSE is a leader in this effort: our International Programs Office has broken new ground in partnerships with international researchers. We welcome the world to GSE.

In addition, GSE collaborates with other schools and departments across the university on internationally-focused projects and programs. Colloquia and lectures presenting international work and/or international perspectives add to GSE's commitment to bringing the world to Penn.

In the News

Researchers from GSE are partnering with a family of multi-generational Penn alumni to introduce laptop computers and a technology-based curriculum to students and teachers in a rural community school for the children of coffee-farm workers in Nicaragua.

Comercial Internacional Exportada S.A., or CISA, a green coffee exporter in Nicaragua, will provide a grant to fund a three-year research initiative at the Buenos Aires School to examine issues surrounding bridging the digital divide. Learn more
